I just wanted to let you guys know that Ive been gearing up for finals this past couple of weeks (I have three tomorrow). So if you have sent me an email or tried to contact me, I promise promise promise I will get back to you as soon as this week is over!

It is. Know why? Because it is sleeping. And when the beast sleeps, I don't have to worry about losing a toe, a page from my textbook, or half my lunch sitting next to me.




Ah, the joys of finals.
I am currently studying for my oceanography exam that I have tomorrow.

Sweet Fall Is Here! {elizabeth thacker photography}

I was so excited this past weekend to be able to fit this family into my session schedule because they are such a blast! They are such troopers, because let me tell ya, it was so cold and windy!! I wasn't expecting for East Texas to be so much colder than College Station! WOW! I had to bust out my big red coat, and I was still chilled! Here are some shots from their session. I just love fall colors!

This is Soozi and the kids. I have featured them here on blog before and I have the pleasure and honor of sharing with you a few shots from their latest session with me. My mom taught Soozi when she was in middle school, so we go way back. I have been shooting these guys ever since I started out, and I have to say that they just keep getting more amazing every time I see them. They are such an outstanding and loving bunch and I would have to say they are my favorites. Thanks guys for being completely open to anything I want to try (even if it is putting a petticoat on the munchkin, or telling you I want you guys on the railroad), lol. Thanks and I love yall!

Hey everyone!
I have many things to be thankful for today already and it's not even lunch time yet!!

Today I am thankful for:
-My self defense class this morning. Today our teacher taught us how to defend ourselves from a knife attack, and I think every gal should take a class like this sometime.
-My best bud, Shelbie, put up her Christmas tree last night, and it has caused me to be bitten with the Christmas bug. (thanks girl!)
-Taco Bell, enough said : )
-The sun breaking through the yucky clouds. I has rained here for the past few days and it's nice to have some sun coming out.

I was reading my Real Simple magazine and there was an article about being thankful. So, in honor of the Thanksgiving season, I decided to take on the challenge of blogging about 5 things I am thankful for each day until Thanksgiving Day.

Today I am Thankful for:
-My little sister sending me a text that said "hey loser, have a great day, i love you" this morning when I woke up
-My awesome roommate, Sarah, cooking the house some AMAZING chili tonight for supper
-Clarity on my architecture project (i started over last night, but am super happy with everything i changed)
-Fellow photographers that share their photos on their blogs
-This fantastic breeze that is coming in through our sliding glass door
